Are you kidding?

The season and the new stadium are not exactly getting off to the rollicking start I had envisioned. As of this minute they are losing 20-4 to the Indians. Now I would usually right this off as a fluke if they had not gotten blown out earlier in the week by the pennant winning Devil Rays. And if Wang's ERA was not kissing 30 runs a game. All in all not what I had hoped for at all and I don't see immediate improvement at hand. I have not turned on the television but I imagine at this point Nick Swisher has been pressed into service to pitch. A position player pitching twice in a season is mortifying let alone twice in one week. And I know all about not blowing the bullpen out in April and all that jazz but this is absurd. Another year of pouring gasoline on the flames does not suit me at all. Whither a slam the door bullpen and an offense that could rake like all-stars?
