Hmm.

This is not what I had in mind three days ago. Already they have given up too many runs and have come close to forcing a tie but that was not my scheme. The general idea was to have a lead and hope the nameless and faceless bullpen could hold onto it until it was time for Mo. This game made me think of 96 when Tino hit the grand slam late at night to give the home town boys a win and sent them on their way to a great season. It could have been a Yankee moment for Mark Texeira but I guess he is going to have to wait a bit.

Just remember every game you lose in April is one more you have to win in September. Last year the Metties lost quite a few games in April and won many in September and still missed the playoffs by one game. So these games contrary to popular imagination do actually count so Yankes need to get in gear.

Happy Passover. Ate too many macaroons last night...

Maybe they're in mourning for Keith Olbermann's mother.
